Deerfield High School Theatre to be the First High School To Perform MAKING GAY HISTORY
Deerfield High School Theatre in Deerfield, Illinois, has announced that they will be the first high school in the world to produce Making Gay History: Before Stonewall, created by Joe Salvatore, adapted from Eric Marcus's Making Gay History. The production will feature performers from the advanced acting classes and designers from the technical theatre design class.

As the first woman to top the ticket of one of America's major political parties, the name of co-creators Joe Salvatore (who also directs) and Maria Guadalupe's fascinating theatre piece could also refer to a number of Hillary Clinton's opponents, such as the public's lingering prejudices against women, the perception of her as an elitist Washington insider or just being a politician cursed with accusations of not being likeable.

FULL CITY+ Announces Run at Manhattanville Coffee
An immersive, intimate theatrical comedy opens in Harlem this Friday, Oct. 14, 2016. Full City+, a site-specific experiential show, will take over Manhattanville Coffee for six, consecutive Fridays. Spectators become patrons in a coffee shop populated by an eclectic staff, first dates, long-distance meltdowns, and the next great American something. The show was conceived, written, and directed by Keith R. Huff and Joe Salvatore, and features actors Marissa Feinberg, Sarah Misch, John Noel, Andy Wagner, and Karl O'Brian Williams.
San Diego Musical Theatre Announces Development of Two Site-Specific New Works
In addition to planning an Off-Broadway series at the Horton Grand Theatre, SDMT is cultivating two, site-specific works; LAST NIGHT IN TOWN - a new musical based on the discography of Ben Folds, and HALL PASS - an immersive musical set and performed in a high school. Both musicals were featured in New York University's Forum on Site-Specific Performance in 2015. LAST NIGHT IN TOWN has another San Diego connection: one of the show's creators, Amy Cordileone, grew up in San Diego and worked locally for many years before moving to New York City.
