CSC's NATHAN THE WISE, Starring F. Murray Abraham and Stark Sands, Opens Tonight
Classic Stage Company welcomes two-time Tony Award nominee Stark Sands (Kinky Boots, Journey's End) and Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham in Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's NATHAN THE WISE. The production began performances on March 23 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). Directed by Brian Kulick and adapted by Edward Kemp, NATHAN THE WISE will have its official press opening tonight, April 13, and play a limited engagement through Sunday, May 1.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, announced today that two-time Tony Award nominee Stark Sands (Kinky Boots, Journey's End) will join the cast of Classic Stage Company's upcoming production of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's NATHAN THE WISE, starring Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham, beginning performances Wednesday, March 23 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). Directed by Brian Kulick and adapted by Edward Kemp, NATHAN THE WISE will have its official press opening Wednesday, April 13 and play a limited engagement through Sunday, May 1.

Teich Lumen, spaceship pilot, is called upon to return a "back-up copy" of Earth to the Cygnus Star System in Steven Mark Tenney's play CYGNUS ISA SUMMER CON5T3LL4TION. En route he encounters a telepathic prodigy, the darkly shrouded Inner System Authority, a band of Cygnian artists covertly shooting an art film on Earth, two college students, and his muse.

STAGES Performing Arts Academy expanded their teen performance workshop this Summer by moving to the state-of-the-art Skip Viragh Center for the Arts at Chaminade College Preparatory School. The three-week program features professional teachers, directors, and guest artists from around the country, resulting in a final full-scale production of Urinetown: The Musical. As STAGES Performing Arts Academy teens neared the end of the rehearsal process, they were greeted by a surprise audience member. On August 2nd, Hunter Foster, who originated the lead role of Bobby Strong in the first Broadway production of Urinetown, stopped in to catch the final dress rehearsal of the show, offering a very special "break a leg" to the young cast. URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL Teen Workshop Set for STAGES Academy Through 8/3
This Summer the STAGES Performing Arts Academy expands by moving their teen performance workshop to the state-of-the-art Skip Viragh Center for the Arts at Chaminade College Preparatory School. The three-week workshop began July 16 resulting in a final full-scale performance on August 3rd, which will feature professional teachers, directors, and guest artists from around the country, along with talented teens, making this hit musical comedy come to life.
