Today, LA MAMA announced the limited engagement of the world premiere musical THE DARK STAR FROM HARLEM: The Spectacular Rise of Josephine Baker. Featuring a book and direction by Glynn Borders and music and lyrics by Mario E. Sprouse, the production will play LA MAMA located at 66 East 4th Street, New York, NY, November 21 - December 1, 2019. Tickets are $30 with discounts available for students, senior adults and groups. Dolly Parton's Smash Hit Musical 9 TO 5 Comes to Music Circus
The 67th Music Circus season continues with the hilarious 9 to 5 The Musical, featuring a score by country music legend Dolly Parton. Based on the beloved hit movie, this office place comedy comes to the round stage for the first time in Music Circus history. Performances of 9 to 5 are Tuesday, July 25 through Sunday, July 30th at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.

FOLLIES Begins Run at LA's Ahmanson Theatre Tonight!
James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's Follies, which was just nominated for eight Tony Awards, begins previews tonight, May 3 at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Performances of the exclusive Los Angeles engagement of the Kennedy Center's critically acclaimed Broadway production of Follies will continue through June 9, 2012. Opening is set for May 9.

"Follies" stars four-time Tony Award nominee Jan Maxwell as Phyllis Rogers Stone, Tony Award winner Victoria Clark, two-time Tony Award nominee Danny Burstein as Buddy Plummer, three-time Emmy Award nominee Ron Raines as Benjamin Stone and Olivier Award winner Elaine Paige as Carlotta Campion. Maxwell, Burstein, Raines and Paige are all returning to the roles they originated on Broadway.
