Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jung studied acting at Western Michigan University (BA) and the University of Connecticut (MFA). He moved to New York in 2004 where he founded Project: Theater, a company dedicated to producing new and forgotten plays. With the company, Jung has acted in the New York premieres of Naomi Iizuka's Language of Angels, Shel's Shorts by Shel Silverstein, Unity (1918) and My Custom Van, which the company adapted from the book of essays by Michael Ian Black. He also directed J.B., The Florentine, The Secretaries, and the world premieres of Mangella and Occupation. Project: Theater also hosts Our Bar, a monthly night of original theater performed in at Failte Irish Whiskey Bar.
