Maryland Ensemble Theatre Presents THE PILLOWMAN

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET)presents a startling thriller that centers on an author accused of perpetrating the very acts depicted in his murderous short stories. Written by award-winning playwright and screenwriter Martin McDonagh (author of The Lieutenant of Inishmore, In Bruges, and the recent Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), The Pillowman is a pitch black comedy that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
Maryland Ensemble Theatre Presents PETER AND THE STARCATCHER

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents a grown up's prequel to Peter Pan, where a dozen actors play more than 100 unforgettable characters. An apprentice starcatcher (13 year-old Molly Aster) takes to the high seas with a trunk full of magic 'starstuff' and three orphan boys while being pursued by a boat-load of pirates. Peter and the Starcatcher was written by Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, Addams Family) with music by Wayne Barker. This adaptation is based on the 2006 novel of the same name by humorist Dave Barry and suspense writer Ridley Pearson.

After a year in cryo-stasis, the intrepidly inebriated crew of "Laugh Station" returns for their most insane adventure yet. See where it all began in this mind altering origin story. Can our heroes save the innocent townsfolk from the clutches of a gas huffing madman? Will the top secret federation weapon be recovered in time for happy hour? Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) will present Martin McDonagh's award winning play 'The Lieutenant of Inishmore'. The dark Irish comedy will be directed by MET's founding Artistic Director, Tad Janes. They are always funny, quirky, and have interesting themes and characters. They must race against the clock to save their fearless leader from the clutches of her evil twin brother. Along the way, they'll battle sexy ninjas, drink rum out of coconuts, start a robot revolution, hang out with ghosts, huff glue and perform high flying song and dance numbers. But will they be able to save the day in time for happy hour? All this and more, in the latest thrilling, chilling, mind altering space comedy from the boys, girls and 'bots aboard Laugh Station. Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present another installment of the surreal, sci-fi horror extravaganza that is the Laugh Station series. The cult hit is back for episode eight, Laugh Station: Rogue! The intrepid (and inebriated) crew of Laugh Station have finally caught a break. After making the greatest scientific find of all time, the crew are rewarded by the Universal American Federation. Success comes at a price, when old wounds are opened and a mysterious stranger from the past comes calling. Will they succumb to the forces of evil or will they take a stand and save the universe? Only one thing is certain: this is guaranteed to be the most action packed, gut wrenching, beer chugging, robo-dancing, soul crushing adventure yet. And there will be jokes too. Laugh Station: Rogue is intend for mature audiences only!

The 2013 New York International Fringe Festival's Producing Artistic Director Elena K. Holy announced this year's recipients of the festival's Overall Excellence Awards on August 25 at a ceremony held at the New York night club The Cutting Room. An independent panel of over 40 theater professionals selected the winners from among the festival's 185 entrants. Among those 185 shows was The Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever produced by Maryland Ensemble Theatre's family theatre, The Fun Company. The show was also among those whose name was announced at the ceremony on the 25th, winning an Overall Excellence Award for an Ensemble. Scroll down for photos of the cast and crew in NYC!

The Glass Menagerie is an American masterpiece that announced the presence of one of the greatest dramatists of the 20th Century. Williams' semi-autobiographical heartbreaking yet often humorous memory play about a young struggling poet and his tenuous relationships with his overbearing mother and his fragile sister is an emotionally charged portrait of hope in 1930s St. Louis that is timeless in its ability to capture the imagination and hearts of audiences.
