On Saturday, July 27th, the Television Academy's Costume Design & Supervision Peer Group honored the 65th Primetime Emmy Award Nominees for Outstanding Costumes with a special reception that also launched the FIDM Museum & Galleries seventh annual presentation of 'The Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design' featuring over 120 costumes from over 15 featured shows. Among those in attendance included nominated Behind the Candelabra Costume Designer Ellen Mirojnick, along with the exhibit's featured Costume Designers from House of Cards, Rectify, SMASH and 2 Broke Girls plus special guests. Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) will conclude its 30th Anniversary mainstage season with the New York premiere of VANITIES, a new musical written by Jack Heifner, featuring music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, directed by Judith Ivey. With musical staging by Dan Knechtges, VANITIES will feature Lauren Kennedy, Sarah Stiles, and Anneliese van der Pol and will begin preview performances on Thursday, July 2.
Opening night is Thursday, July 16 at 6:30pm
