BWW Review: FREAKY FRIDAY at North Shore Music Theatre

Disney's Freaky Friday just opened at North Shore Music Theatre. Based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers. It was then made into a movie by Disney in 1976 staring Jody Foster and Barbara Harris, with a less memorable movie remake in 2018. It is now a newly created, fun family musical with all the bells and whistles.

Deadline writes that filmmaker Woody Allen will not be attending the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards on January 12 and that actress and friend Diane Keaton will be accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award on his behalf.

The multi-hyphenated Woody Allen will be honored with the 2014 Cecil B. DeMille Award and will be paid tribute to at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 12, 2014, LIVE coast-to-coast on NBC with the pre-show from 4:00-5:00 p.m. (PST)/7:00-8:00 p.m. (EST), and main telecast from 5:00-8:00 p.m. (PST)/8:00-11:00 p.m. (EST) from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. It was announced today by Theo Kingma, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

Paul Anthony Stewart Stars In CRIME AND PUNISHMENT 2/27-3/22

Emmy-nominated Paul Anthony Stewart stars as Raskolnikov in a gripping 90-minute adaptation of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment at The Cleveland Play House. In addition to numerous New York and regional theatre roles, Stewart, who was nominated for his recurring role on 'Guiding Light,' recently appeared on Broadway in the revivals of Fiddler on the Roof and Cyrano - The Musical. Performed with only three actors, the adaptation of Crime and Punishment by Marilyn Campbell and Cut Columbus is being helmed by the acclaimed director of the 2005 Play House production of I Am My Own Wife, Anders Cato. Crime and Punishment begins in the Drury Theatre at The Cleveland Play House on Friday, February 27 and runs through Sunday, March 22, 2009.
