BIO
Trained as a dancer at the Arts Educational School, Joanna was accepted at postgraduate level to The Royal Academy of Music in London. Whilst training at the Royal Academy, she took two semesters to study at the Juilliard in New York, where she was privileged to attend master-classes with the legendary soprano Leontyne Price.
Joanna' s classical career has been guided by her mentor and teacher, the late Anthony Rolfe Johnson OBE, who selected her as one of his very few pupils. She has performed at some of the UK's finest opera houses.
An accomplished actress, she has appeared as Madame Giry in Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty's Theatre), Dolly in Hello Dolly (WLO) and alongside Benicio del Toro in Wolfman (Universal Pictures).
In 2011 she played Sharon Graham in the Bath Theatre Royal's number one UK tour of Masterclass with Stephanie Beacham as Callas.
