Loni Ackerman Stars In New Musical IMPOSSIBLY GEORGE Industry Reading
Loni Ackerman will star as George Sand in a private industry reading of the new musical IMPOSSIBLY GEORGE: A Soiree with Madame George Sand with music by Elliot Finkel, lyrics by Phillip Namanworth and book by Finkel and Namanworth, directed by Tony nominee Walter Willison on Monday August 6th, at Pearl Studios in New York City.
Off-Broadway's Saint Luke's 2nd Monday Play Reading Series Presents LITTLE EDIE AND THE MARBLE FAUN
Little Edie & The Marble Faun will be presented by Off-Broadway's Saint Luke's 2nd Monday Play Reading Series as part of their 2017-2018 season. Little Edie & The Marble Faun is a mash-up of Grey Gardens, the documentary about the reclusive, half-mad relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (Little Edie, and her mother, Big Edie), who live in a decrepit, raccoon-infested mansion, and Nathaniel Hawthorne's last novel, The Marble Faun, a name Little Edie used to refer to her handyman, Jerry. In the Hawthorne novel, we meet Miriam, Donatello, and a stranger, who threatens their happy existence with a secret from Miriam's past.
John Cariani to Perform at The Company Theatre Group's Annual Benefit
Tony Award nominated actor, celebrated playwright of Almost, Maine and currently starring in Broadway's A Band's Visit John Cariani (Fiddler on the Roof, Tony Nom.; Something Rotten) will join The Company Theatre Group (Lou Scarpati, Managing Artistic Director) as they celebrate 10 years with their benefit The After Valentine's Day We Love Love (but not always) Fundraising Extravaganza on Monday, February 26 at 8pm at their brand new home, The Hackensack Performing Arts Center (102 State Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601), tickets are $40.

Broadway and popular music stars come together for a special performance of protest songs and political satire, Songs of Protest, on Wednesday, March 29th at 9:30 PM at Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the National Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Lyricist/librettist, Michael Colby, author of the memoir, 'The Algonquin Kid-Adventures Growing Up at New York's Legendary Hotel," celebrated his 65th Birthday on Sunday, Oct. 30th with a fundraiser/musical event for Child Find of America. 'Quel Fromage II' featured performers from Broadway and cabaret, including members of TADA! The full cast has been announced for B-Side Productions' return of Michael John LaChiusa and George C. Wolfe's 2000 Broadway musical The Wild Party that will begin performances September 6th at the TBG Theatre for a run through September 17th.
