DreamWrights to Stage TWILIGHT: LOS ANGELES, 1992

Inspired by the 1992 Los Angeles Riots, this monologue play delivers a raw and poignant perspective on the social, economic, and political issues that precipitated these traumatic events. Using more than 350 interviews, Smith creates a mosaic of four dozen characters to expose and explore the devastating human impact of these events and offer a stark insight into the complex and pressing social, economic and political issues that set Los Angeles ablaze.  Originally performed as a one person show - this version will have its cast of eight actors inhabiting a diverse spectrum of unique voices.  
DreamWrights Welcomes New Board Members

DreamWrights Center for Community Arts is pleased to announce its new board members for 2018. Karin Swartz, Communications Director for York Country Day School, Sarah Yacoviello who works in Development at Lewis Fundraising, and Allison Meckley, Alumni Relations Coordinator for Leadership York, bring focus and expertise to the team. Three teen advisors: Sophia Nicholson, a sophomore at York Suburban High School, Hannah Alvarnaz, an 11th grader at Northeastern High School, and Cali Fife, a recent high school graduate, add the younger voices and viewpoints necessary to the mission. These new board members join returning members, Claudette Calder, Mark Evans, Tom LaForgia, Trisha Melikian, Amy Young, Allison Witherow, Jim Tyson, Stacey MacNeal, Randy Riley, Kevin Alvarnaz, and board chair, Jason Sabol.

Claudette Calder, Procurement Manager at Armstrong Flooring, Mark Evans, CEO at Protech Mechanical Contractors Inc., Tom LaForgia, Development Officer at York College, Trisha Melikian, Accountant for the City of York, Amy Young, Business Development at Wagman Construction, and Kirk Wisler, Physical Education Teacher West York Area School District, bring focus and expertise to the team. Three teen advisors: Christine Catterall, a freshman at York Catholic, Brayton Kominsky, an 8th grader at Northeastern Middle School, and Jacob Whitacre, a sophomore at West York Area High School, add the younger voices and viewpoints necessary to the mission. These new board members join returning members, Allison Witherow, Jim Tyson, Jason Sabol, Randy Riley, Suzanne McConkey, J.T. Hand, Kevin Alvarnaz, and board chair, Stacey MacNeal.
DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre Welcomes New Board Members

? DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre is pleased to announce the addition of seven new members to the Board of Directors in 2016. Cindy Steele, Chief Operating Officer of York's Central Market, Randy Riley, Controller for Menasha Packaging, Kevin Alvarnaz, Director of Community Health and Wellness at WellSpan Health, and Jim Tyson, employed by the Home Depot and pastor at City Church York, bring focus and expertise to the team. Our three Teen Advisors: Jacob Schlenker, a 9th grader at York County School of Technology, Grace Shelton, a freshman at Christian School of York, and Brice Leidy, a freshman at York Catholic, add the younger voices and viewpoints necessary to the mission.
