BIO
Jim Davis is a Chicago-based production manager with over 300 credits on his resume, spanning over 30 years in show business. Contrary to sometimes popular belief, he is not the creator of Garfield! He is currently the production manager for Music Theater Works and was previously the Lab Theater Production Manager at the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts at Northwestern University, as well as serving as Producing Director for the University's Imagine U Family Theatre Series and the Production Stage Manager for NU's commencement. Also in Chicago, Jim has served as the Production Manager for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's WELCOME YULE and as the resident Production Manager at Next Theatre Company. Prior to moving to Chicago in 2006, Jim resided in St. Louis, where he was the Production Manager for St. Louis Shakespeare and the Arts Center Manager for the St. Louis Conservatory and Schools for the Arts. Before any of that, Jim toured the country with several national tours, trade shows and industrials and worked on many shows both Off and On Broadway.
