Iconic music group Sister Sledge have announced plans for a feature film based on the lives of the legendary four sisters from Philadelphia, who rose to prominence and found worldwide success with the release of the remarkable We are Family album. Entitled Life Song, based on the memoirs of one of the founding members Kim Sledge, the biographical film will delve into the story behind music's most famous sisters.

The 64th Ocean Grove Choir Festival, the largest sacred music choral event on the East Coast, will take place Sunday July 8th, 7PM at the historic 6,500 seat Great Auditorium under the baton of noted American conductor Jason Tramm. Tramm, who has been at the helm of this spectacular annual festival for over a decade, serves as conductor and steward of Ocean Grove's signature sacred music festival which has historically featured many of the finest choral and oratorio societies from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania - and as far ranging as Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois, Louisiana - together with renowned soloists, musicians, composers and guest conductors.

As the Chorale prepares for their sixth European tour in June, they share with audiences at home the wonderful music that will be presented in concert abroad. LAMC to Close High School Choir Fest at Walt Disney Concert Hall, 5/2
The Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC) opens the doors of Walt Disney Concert Hall to the public on Friday, May 2, 2014, 11 am and 1 pm, for two free concerts culminating the Chorale's highly regarded High School Choir Festival, which this year features the world premiere of Es Tu Tiempo composed for the Festival's 25th anniversary by 2011 MacArthur Fellowship recipient Francisco Nuñez, artistic director of the Young Peoples Choir of New York City who is acclaimed for seamlessly fusing a wide gamut of cultural and musical idioms. The 11 am performance features a concert by the professional Los Angeles Master Chorale Chamber Singers under the direction of Associate Conductor Lesley Leighton. At 1 pm, one of the largest high school choir festivals in the nation showcases the remarkable vocal talents of nearly 1,000 students from 28 Southland high schools in a massive chorus conducted by LAMC Music Director Grant Gershon. The afternoon concert also includes three songs performed by the prestigious 80-voice Festival Honor Choir, comprised of students from the participating high schools who were nominated by their teachers.
