American Opera Project to Stage LETTERS AND THE LOST VOICES OF WOMEN IN WORLD WAR I
On Monday, March 21st at 7pm CT / 8pm ET, The American Opera Project (AOP) and The National WWI Museum and Memorial will give voice to the women of WWI and explore their (many times overlooked) contributions and cultural representations during a free, livestreamed presentation. The event will feature readings of newly transcribed letters from the National WWI Museum and Memorial's archives, selections from the AOP-developed opera Letters That You Will Not Get: Women’s Voices from the Great War by composer Kirsten Volness and co-librettists Susan Werbe and Kate Holland, as well as a keynote talk by Jennifer Orth-Veillon, author, scholar and curator of the WWrite Blog. The event, produced by Emitha LLC, will be moderated by award-winning journalist Kelly Kennedy, Managing Editor for The War Horse and U.S. Army veteran.

LA BOHEME Will Open Sarasota Opera Winter Festival in February
Love is in the air on Saturday, February 8 at 7pm, when Sarasota Opera opens the 2020 Winter Opera Festival with Puccini's La bohème. The melodious love story follows a group of friends - starving artists and intellectuals - living a bohemian lifestyle in 1830's Paris. They struggle with poverty, but never let hardship bring them down. Along the way, Rodolfo and Mimì fall in love-and it doesn't get much more romantic than young love in Paris in the winter. Victoria Opera House Brings Classical Music To Young Audiences With An Experiential Format
Manhattan-based soprano by way of Westchester County, Victoria Miningham, is a professional opera singer and entrepreneur with the ambition to share her passion of classical music with her peers. In September of 2017, Miningham produced an event in Manhattan at the members-only club, Soho House, that set the stage for what later became Victoria Opera House (VOH). This inaugural event presented a mix of opera singers from around the world including Miningham to perform almost a dozen classics. Since then, there have been two standing-room-only events at the popular Club which targets millennials in creative industries.
New York City Opera Presents IL PIGMALIONE By Donizetti And PIGMALION By Rameau
New York City Opera continues its 2017-18 Chamber Opera Series with a unique double bill of Donizetti's Il Pigmalione and Rameau's Pigmalion, the first time these one-act gems will be presented on the same program. The production also marks the New York premiere of Donizetti's first opera. This double bill will be directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford, with Gil Rose conducting the New York City Opera Orchestra and Chorus. Two performances of Il Pigmalione/Pigmalion will be presented at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater on Saturday, March 24 at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 25 at 4:00 p.m.
National Chorale to Present 49th HANDEL'S MESSIAH SING-IN This December
National Chorale, New York's premier professional choral company, under the Artistic Direction of Everett McCorvey, continues its 2016-2017 Season at Lincoln Center with the 49th presentation of Handel's Messiah Sing-In today, December 20, 2016 at 8pm at the David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, 10 Lincoln Center Plaza, NYC.
