You can feel the energy at the Hampton Theatre Company (HTC) as they mount their first musical. In their inspired thirty-four-year history, they have presented plays strictly. However, recent technical upgrades have provided them with the opportunity to present musicals. In a brave decision, they have wisely chosen to offer iconic Tony winner Man Of La Mancha. You're probably thinking, doesn't the Long Island venue have a rather intimate stage? They do. Do they deliver superbly? That is a resounding yes.
CHILD USA to Honor Corey Feldman with The Sean P. McIlmail Hero Award
Corey Feldman, an iconic enigma of both film and music, has remained busy through four decades in the entertainment industry. Feldman, who serves as CHILD USA's ambassador, is also equally known as an early vocal presence in the world of sexual abuse survivors, as one of the first whistle blowers on the topic of abuse at the hands of adults in power in the world of entertainment. Feldman will receive The Sean P. McIlmail Hero Award on Thursday, November 15th at 6:30 PM. CHILD USA's second annual Awards Dinner will take place at Union Trust in Philadelphia, PA.

Wilbury Group presents PARt by Ali Kenner Brodsky and MorganEve Swain
The Wilbury Theatre Group proudly presents choreographer Ali Kenner Brodsky and musician MorganEve Swain's PARt, a multifaceted performance piece of dance, music and art. Presented March 1-3, PARt is reflecting on memories in and amongst movements, music and visual landscapes. Kenner Brodsky and Swain create raw, emotional material, pulled from experience in loss and growth. Swain's music flows alongside the dancers, rather than punctuating them, so that the music and the dance are two working parts of a larger machine.

Bookworks Presents Shelf Awareness for Readers, 'Susan Hill: No Brooding'
Susan Hill's novels and short stories have won many awards, and she's been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize. The play adapted from her famous ghost story, The Woman in Black, has been running in the West End in London since 1989; it was made into a film in 2012, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Ciarán Hinds. Her crime novels featuring Detective Chief Superintendent Simon Serrailler are being adapted for TV--good news for the many Serrailler fans.
