Keen Company Announces Cast for NY Premiere of SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY
Today Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced the cast for the New York premiere of Surely Goodness and Mercy, a truly Keen story about an exceptional boy living a troubled life in Newark, NJ who does a good deed for an often unnoticed person. Sarita Covington, Jay Mazyck, Brenda Pressley, Courtney Thomas, and Cezar Williams will star under Jessi D. Hill's direction. The design team includes Lee Savage (scenic), Nicole Wee (costumes), Devorah Kengmana (lighting), and Sadah Espii Proctor (sound).
Judy Gold To Lead Benefit Reading of THE RAGING SKILLET
The Jewish Plays Project (David Winitsky, Executive Artistic Director) is thrilled to present the New York premiere of the future off-Broadway smash hit culinary and theatrical event Raging Skillet, the true story of Chef Rossi, the punk-rock caterer, event maestro, and TV star. The reading-with-food-and-drink of 'Skillet' will star Judy Gold and Marilyn Sokol and be held at the Theater at the 14th Street Y on March 28, 2018 at 7 pm. In an effort to broaden opportunities for women playwrights, Project Y Theatre Company has commissioned nine female playwrights in two separate productions, Great Again, an evening of plays by Crystal Skillman and Chiori Miyagawa, and The Hrosthvitha Project, 7 adaptations of the 10th century female-written play 'Dulcitius' written by playwrights Caridad Svich, Pia Wilson, Julienne Hairston, Michole Biancosino, Lia Romeo, Stacie Lents, and Erin Mallon.

JEWISH PLAYS PROJECT and Artistic Director David Winitsky, are pleased to announce the exciting line-up of OPEN: The Festival of New Jewish Theatre. The festival officially opened Tuesday night with a special presentation of True Bible Studies by Robert Askins, directed by Benjamin Kamine as part of Into the Night: Downtown's Tikkun Leil Shavuot at The 14th Street Y. The line-up includes readings of new plays by Ben Gassman, Tom Block, M.J. Kaufman, Lenelle Moise, Lila Feinberg and the featured workshop production of G-d's Honest Truth by Renee Calarco, directed by David Winitsky.
