Rubicon Theatre Presents the Hilarious Comedy MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS
Rubicon Theatre Company presents Moonlight and Magnolias, the hilarious fly on the wall comedy by Ron Hutchinson about how the most iconic film in Hollywood history almost didn't get made. Directed by Stephanie A. Coltrin, this production features the same principal cast members from her critically acclaimed staging of Moonlight and Magnolias at Hermosa Beach Playhouse in 2010. Just in time for the 80th anniversary of Margaret Mitchell's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, 'Gone With the Wind,' Rubicon brings this wildly funny, behind-the-scenes farce to Ventura on Saturday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. with an after party to follow atThe Greek Mediterranean Steak & Seafood. Previews are August 31, Sept. 1 and 2. The show runs through September 18.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF to Play Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center
In celebration of their 20th Anniversary Season, the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center brings back the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof from September 12 - October 18, 2015. With performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm as well as Thursdays at 8 pm on October 8 and 15, Fiddler on the Roof will make a third run at the Cultural Arts Center, having previously played in May of 2004 and September of 2006.
POOF! - A Magical Musical Comedy Opens at Santa Paula Theater Center
A young boy with growing pains, bored with his seemingly mundane life, seeks adventure and excitement and finds it when he discovers POOF! - the thing inside a magician's hat that makes the magic happen. Along the way, he encounters an evil wizard and his beleaguered apprentice, two magic rabbits who never met a pun they didn't like and an unemployed princess. POOF! will be presented on the Backstage at Santa Paula Theater Center, 125 South 7th Street, Santa Paula, from April 10 - 26, 2015.

Elite Theatre Company to Stage THE BOYS NEXT DOOR, 2/28-4/6
One year after relocating the company from Oxnard's Heritage Square to Channel Islands Harbor (at 2731 S. Victoria Ave. Oxnard, CA 93035), the Elite Theatre Company is opening its 21st season by presenting a remarkably real look at the lives of four mentally handicapped men and the kind but increasingly burned out social worker who struggles to keep it all together. On Friday, February 28th, the Elite opens its production of THE BOYS NEXT DOOR by Tom Griffin. This will be the first show in the Elite's 2014 season, entitled 'Wit.' Heart-filled and hilarious, THE BOYS NEXT DOOR runs through April 6th, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.
