Amore Opera Presents Meyerbeer And Mozart In March 2019
Amore Opera continues its 2018-19 season at the Riverside Theatre at Riverside Church (91 Claremont Ave, New York, NY 10027) with a production of Giacomo Meyerbeer's long-forgotten comic opera, Dinorah, sung in the original French. Amore will be using the score and orchestral parts recently restored by the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Dream Theatre's production of Mamma Mia opened to rave reviews last weekend where it played to record crowds at The Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway. The cast was led by Gabrielle Mirabella as Donna, Kim Shriver (Tanya), Jennifer Cody (Rosie), Michael Hunsaker (Sam Carmichael) and Adam Kaster (Bill Austin). The supporting cast included Stephanie Ann Christian (Sophie), Nathaniel Dolquist (Sky), Rachel Anne Raeon (Lisa) Kathleen Claire McGrath (Ali), Brett Hennessey Jones (Pepper) and Danny Sims (Eddie).
George Hearn to Present ANIMAL TALES at Town Hall Theater
George Hearn, one of the biggest stars of the Broadway musical, is our neighbor. Having won Tony awards for his performances in La Cage aux Folles and Sunset Boulevard, and an Emmy for playing the title role in Sweeney Todd opposite Angela Lansbury, he now lives with his family outside of Essex, New York.

Dream Theatre Productions, the resident professional theater company of The Union County Performing Arts Center is happy to announce Jennifer Cody (Broadway: Urinetown, Shrek, Grease, Taboo & Seussical) will be playing the role of Rosie in their upcoming production of the international smash hit! Cody, perhaps best known to younger audiences as the voice of Charlotte La Bouff in Disney's The Princess and the Frog will be joined by fellow Dynamo's Gabrielle Mirabella (Tours: Elf: The Musical & Mamma Mia!) as Donna Sheridan and Kim Shriver (Broadway: A Chorus Line, Tours: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels & Joseph and the...Dreamcoat) as Tanya.
New York Premiere of L'AMANT ANONYME Set for 59E59 Theaters
59E59 Theaters will welcome the return of the little OPERA theatre of ny with the New York premiere of L'Amant Anonyme, adapted and directed Philip Shneidman from the opera by Chevalier de Saint-Georges, with a libretto by Desfontaines after Mme. de Genlis. Conducted by Elliot Figg with Art Direction by Sanford Biggers, L'Amant Anonyme begins performances on Saturday, March 12 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 20. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday & Saturday at 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Infinitheatre's WRITE-ON-Q! Playwriting Competition Winners Announced
For the past seven years, a major source of Infinitheatre's new plays has been its annual Write-on-Q! Quebec playwriting competition, including recent success Progress! by Alyson Grant which played a sold out run at the Royal Victoria Hospital legacy site, and Oren Safdie's Unseamly, the New York Times critics' pick that just closed Off-Broadway. This year's jury, chaired by Pat Donnelly, with Gerry Lipnowski, Laurence Sellyn and Jennifer Moorehouse, is excited to announce the 2015 winners, whose plays will be read in The Pipeline.
