The 10th Annual Lilly Awards, honoring women in the American theatre, took place on Sunday, May 19th, 2019, at the Minetta Lane Theatre. The event was hosted by Obie and Drama Desk winner, Mia Barron, and star of Broadway's Come From Away, Jenn Colella.

DREAM HOU$E by Eliana Pipes, winner of the 2019 Leah Ryan Prize for Emerging Women Writers, 'Leah's FEWW' will be celebrated as part of the festivities at this year's Lilly Awards honoring women in American Theater to be held at the Minetta Lane Theatre, May 19 at 7pm. Ms. Pipes will be awarded the prize by FEWW board member and writer, Jennifer Krasinski.

Just last night, the 8th Annual Lilly Awards Ceremony, which celebrates women of distinction in the American Theater, honored Julie Taymor, Denee Benton, Micki Grant,Toni-Leslie James, Mandy Greenfield, Madison Ferris, and Beanie Feldstein. Stephen Schwartz was this year's Miss Lilly.

The reclamation of spaces, ideas, and paradigms by female-identified and informed bodies and queer bodies embodying feminist ethos must be made paramount at this moment in American Life. Led by Half Straddle's Artistic Director, Tina Satter, Here I Go, pt. 2 of You is a two week open work period and colloquy, encompassing rehearsals and showings of new theater and video work; the launch of an online journal of performance writing; public lectures; and communal zine-making activities that will act as accessible discussion periods.

Seventh Annual Nohl Fellowship Exhibition Opens at Inova, 10/8

The Institute of Visual Arts (Inova) at the UWM Peck School of the Arts opens an exhibition of work by the artists who received the Greater Milwaukee Foundation's Mary L. Nohl Fund Fellowships for Individual Artists in 2009. The Nohl Fellowship exhibition opens on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Inova/Kenilworth, 2155 N. Prospect Ave. It brings together work by two artists selected in the Established Artist category: Peter Barrickman and Harvey Opgenorth; and two artists selected in the Emerging Artist category: Kim Miller and John Riepenhoff. For the first time in the history of the Nohl Fellowship program, the exhibition will also include several works that are the result of a year-long collaboration among the artists.
