Jennifer Jones is the Co-Founder and Producing Artistic Director of StarStruck Theatre; Martin County's only Children's Theatre and Performing Arts Training Center. For 20 years, Jennifer, along with her husband, Peter, have instructed thousands of local artists who are currently living and traveling across the globe performing in National Tours, Film & TV, and on Broadway. She is equally as proud of her alumni who are enjoying careers as successful Attorneys, Teachers, Photographers, Theatrical Producers, Stage Managers, Music Directors, and Doctors who all credit their performance training as a huge part of their success. StarStruck is a nationally recognized epicenter for excellence in arts education and has been featured in countless newspapers, magazines, and national publications such as The Sondheim Review. StarStruck has been a host to many Broadway celebrities - Vanessa Williams, Stephen Schwartz, John Caird and Laura Bell Bundy to name a few, who shared their experiences with students as well as worked with Jennifer and Peter on creating junior and school edition versions of their musicals. Jennifer’s philosophy is grounded in the belief that strong theatrical training benefits every child, regardless of their career path. Jennifer teaches acting, musical theatre and audition prep as well as directs all of StarStruck‘s large scale musical and non-musical productions and other events in Martin County. She most recently directed the sold out smash hits CHICAGO, ANNIE, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, LEGALLY BLONDE, A CHORUS LINE and PIPPIN. Other favorite directing moments: INTO THE WOODS, 13 THE MUSICAL, NEXT FALL, LA CAGE aux FOLLES, THE LAST 5 YEARS and CABARET. Jennifer won Broadway World’s Best Director Award for the play NEXT FALL and is a recipient of the Martin County Arts Council “mARTie Award” for Outstanding Performing Artist. She was awarded Best Direction for ANNIE Jr. and ONCE ON THIS ISLAND Jr. at the Music Theatre International Junior Festival in Atlanta and directed the Florida State premiere of the musical, SUMMER of ’42. She had the incredible opportunity to work with legendary composer, Stephen Schwartz, creating student versions of his musicals, MY SON, PINNOCHIO and CHILDREN OF EDEN and has produced and directed the world premiere Junior and School Editions of many musicals including RENT, SWEENEY TODD and HAIRSPRAY. Jennifer’s favorite onstage roles include Velma Kelly in CHICAGO, Sally Bowles in CABARET, Sandy in GREASE, Tessie Tura in GYPSY and Golde in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.
