Childrena??s Theatre of Charleston (CTOC) is holding auditions for children aged 8 to 18 for their upcoming production Christmas Shorts. Positions are available for actors, musicians, and vocalists with auditions being held outside at the CTOC Rehearsal Space located at 115 Spring Street in Charleston, WV on October 10th, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and October 11th, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. For the safety of everybody involved, interested parties must sign up for an audition spot. There will be no walk-ins allowed.

'SWING!' tells the story of Adrianna (Christina Barnes), a factory worker in the 40's who is holding down her husband Butch's (Steffen Alexander Whorton) factory job while he's at war. Once he returns home, both Adrianna and Butch feel like they don't fit into their old lives. When she meets Janine (Melissa Winter), Adrianna rediscovers old passions that she put away when she was first married. While her feelings blossom for Janine, Adrianna's love for her husband is also rekindled. Adrianna's difficult choice in a time of forbidden love fuels this passionate musical journey.

Off-Broadway Producers John Lant and Tamra Pica, in association with Write Act Repertory Theatre, are pleased to present the Off-Broadway Premiere of SWING! The Musical by playwright Michael Antin. Porter Riverview Ballroom. Attendees enjoyed a celebration of the arts featuring an engaging presentation, “Island City Stage: Our Lives, Our Stories,” by guest speaker Martin Childers, managing director of Island City Stage. Island City Stage is an organization creating quality theatrical experiences that focus on the LGBTQ community but have a heart and soul that is truly universal.
