And for the past 20 years or so, audiences can experience Irving Berlin's classic live on stage. The Shaw Festival is presenting their joyous version this year on the Festival stage and the result is pure technicolor heaven.

It was an incredible night for Toronto theatre when our community joined together to celebrate another year of performing arts in Toronto on the evening of June 23rd at the WestJet Stage at the Harbourfront Centre for the 35th Annual Dora Awards! For the 2013-2014 season, 143 producing companies (up 41 from last season's 102) registered eligible productions. A total of 48 Dora Awards, plus the Silver Ticket Award and the Audience Choice Award, were given out in a glittering ceremony hosted by Matt Baram and Naomi Snieckus, founding Co-Artistic Directors of the three-time Canadian Comedy Award-winning The National Theatre of the World.

The Musical). The first production is directed by Betty Mitchell award winner Kevin McKendrick (Urinetown, Boy Gets Girl). The cast includes Jenni Burke (Buddy … The Buddy Holly Story, Bat Boy), Erica Clow (Seussical), Steven Greenfield (Spitfire Grill, Titanic, West Side Story), Tim Koetting (Anne of Green Gables), Ksenia Thurgood (Wizard of Oz, CATS), Deb Williams (Mom's The Word) & Barrie Wood, (Oliver!). Scenic design is by Ted Price, costume design by Marian Truscott, sound design by Haylee Tucker, lighting design by Dave Smith and stage management is by Sarah Wallin.
