BIO
Jen Poulin is a Chicago based director and dramaturg. She serves as Development Director for Broken Nose Theatre (BNT), where she directed "The Opportunities of Extinction" (2018) and for BNT?s annual Bechdel Fest (2015, 2017). Recent directing projects include "The Batting Cage" (upcoming) and "Gidion?s Knot" with Habakkuk Theatre, and "Endeavor Mind" for The Plagiarists. Jen is an Intimacy Directors International (IDI) advocate, trained in IDI?s intimacy protocol. She previously served as Interim Grants Manager and Artistic Programs Apprentice at American Theater Company, and Associate Artistic Director of BackStage Theatre Company. Since earning a Theatre Studies BFA from University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, her work has spanned many fine companies, including National Theatre of Scotland, Stage Left Theatre, Halcyon Theatre, Artemisia Theatre, Adventure Stage Chicago, Strawdog Theatre Company, Steep Theatre Company, and WildClaw Theatre. She is also an Artistic Associate with No Stakes Theater Project.

Presented as part of Steppenwolf's LookOut Series, BECHDEL FEST will play four performances only, August 25 - 28, 2019 at Steppenwolf's 1700 Theatre, 1700 N. Halsted St. in Chicago. Northwestern Settlement's Adventure Stage Chicago Adds More Dates to REPRISE; Postpones New Work JACK'S HOUSE to a Later Season

Adventure Stage Chicago (ASC), a program of Northwestern Settlement (the Settlement), announces additional dates for its fall production of Reprise, due to popular demand. A new play with original music forming part of the National Theatre of Scotland's Home Away Festival (performing in Glasgow on October 8), Reprise will return to Chicago for public performances November 4-5. School matinees are scheduled for November 1-10. ASC also announces the postponement of Jack's House. All performances take place at Northwestern Settlement's Vittum Theater, 1012 N. Noble St. Tickets are $10 for preview performances, and $17 for adults and $12 for youth aged 14 years and younger for the regular run. Tickets may be purchased at adventurestage.org or by calling 773.342.4141
