BWW Review: BIG FISH Is Storytelling At Its Best
Theatre is about telling stories. BIG FISH at Red Mountain Theatre Company Cabaret is full of stories, both large and small. It tells the stories of the Bloom family, both the exaggerated ones of Edward, the father and the real ones of Will, the son. Or are they all real- you be the judge. Family, faith in yourself and life, and pure entertainment make up a very memorable evening when you see BIG FISH. The show runs through October 4 and is worth making the time to see. BWW Reviews: OMAHA Lays Winning HANDS ON A HARDBODY at Omaha Community Playhouse
You might wonder how a musical about ten Texans competing to win a Nissan truck by being the last person standing with hands on it could be interesting. There can be little action since everyone is stuck to the truck by white cotton gloves. Yet, this musical is not about outward action so much as it is about inward struggle. These are varied characters with diverse personalities. The truck is the vehicle that ties them together. These white-gloved hands are what hang onto hope. I promise you that it is interesting!
