Idaho to Release Limited Edition Box Set; Feature Doc Streaming Now
The groundbreaking legacy of slowcore pioneers IDAHO will be celebrated with The Devil You Know [1992-1996], a landmark four-album five-disc Deluxe Limited-Edition Box Set featuring vinyl reissues of the band’s long-out-of-print and highly sought-after first three records. They also recently premiered their career-spanning feature documentary, Traces of Glory: The Musical Journey of Idaho.

Led by Laurel Canyon-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Martin since its formation in the early 90s, IDAHO has built a canon that defies the confines of indie rock, bearing the uncanny grace to stimulate equally the full spectrums of the heart, and the mind, with lush, alien four-string guitar tones draped over a ragged, elegant desertscape. The opening of a new live performance venue during a worldwide pandemic may at first seem like an oxymoron…. However The Brunswick Ballroom defies the odds and truly proves that the live performance scene in Melbourne is back in business baby! This recently refurbished Sydney Road venue, located in the old Metropolis Hotel, has been spectacularly re-envisioned with inspiration drawn from the iconic 90's Prahran music institution The Continental Cafe. The Brunswick Ballroom truly is a ' diamond in the rough' with its grand staircase leading up to the ballroom and the magnificent stained glass domes that evoke Australian artist Leonard French's work. It is sure to have a long future ahead of it as one of Melbourne's premier live performance venues, enriching Melbourne audiences with an eclectic array of domestic and international cabaret, music and comedy.

BWW Feature: HAMILTON Celebrates History Education By Giving Back to 3,900 Students with EDUHAM in Detroit!
When you see a high student support another high school student that is one of the best moments you can ever witness, but when you see over 2,000 students support one another the experience is astounding and one you will never forget! This was exactly the experience that happened at the Fisher Theatre on Thursday morning for the Hamilton Education Program, better known as EduHam, when the second of the two high school only Hamilton matinee performances happened. The students were greeted by Chaundre Hall-Broomfield, who plays Hercules Mulligan / James Madison, and then selected student took the stage to perform original projects inspired by their analysis of primary source materials and lyrics from the musical. That was followed by a Q & A with some members of the Angelica Tour company of Hamilton that is currently here in Detroit as part of the Broadway in Detroit season and the special matinee student performance. It was an experience that these students will never forget!

A dancing lobster, an evil octopus, a strict father and a delightful array of singing sea creatures. All that and more makes Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID an audience favorite - and it will open the 2018 summer outdoor season for Theatre in the Park (TTIP). Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID, a premiere at TTIP, will have seven performances at the outdoor amphitheater Friday through Sunday, June 8-10 and the following Wednesday through Saturday June 13-16. Showtime for all productions is 8:30 p.m. with gates opening at 7 p.m.
