BWW Interview: Dennis Hensley MISMATCHing & Working With Divas

Dennis Hensley's long-running THE MISMATCH GAME has reinvented itself to the new normal of ZOOM for two weekend nights, September 26 and 27, 2020. Dennis shared some history of his charitable project, produced pre-pandemic on the stages of the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Dennis dons his hosting polyesters as Gene Rayburn.
YOU DON'T KNOW MY LIFE! Announced At Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced a one-night only live return of the new home party game You Don't Know My Life! The game was created by Dennis Hensley and Jeb Havens. Hensley is the creator of the Center's long-running cult comedy hit The MisMatch Game. You Don't Know My Life! will be played live at the Center's Renberg Theatre on Saturday, September 28, at 8pm.
Jonathan Ritter Opens Tonight In New Harvey Milk Musical, HERE TO RECRUIT YOU

Jonathan Ritter ('Wicked,' 'Finding Neverland,' and 'Sweet Charity') portrays Harvey Milk in HERE TO RECRUIT YOU, a new play with music highlighting the little-known theatrical career of the gay political icon. Prior to becoming California's first openly-gay elected official, Harvey Milk lived - and loved - among a group of downtown bohemian artists on the verge of re-defining the Broadway musical. It was a time (the 1960s) and place (New York City) that informed his politics and inspired his activism. Beginning in 1964, HERE TO RECRUIT YOU chronicles Milk's quest to find love, success, and a purpose in life as he transitions from Wall Street businessman to Broadway producer and, finally, to a celebrated politician whose life was cut short by an assassin's bullet.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced the debut of a new comedy game show by Dennis Hensley, the creator of the Center's long-running cult comedy hit, The MisMatch Game.  You Don't Know My Life! will be unveiled at the Center's Renberg Theatre on Sunday, March 11, at 7pm.

Broadway veteran, Billboard dance sensation and People Magazine's first-ever gay 'Hottest Bachelor' Matt Zarley has received critical acclaim as an LGBT artist for over a decade since his debut on the music scene. As one of the first openly gay male artists in music, a lot has changed in the world for the LGBT community. In his latest endeavor, hopefulROMANTIC, Zarley has created an original musical film about one man's emotional journey through love, heartbreak, and healing. It's a universal story about loving, letting go, and holding onto faith that there's somebody for everybody. In addition, the film also features film and TV icon, "Star Trek" star and LGBT activist, George Takei. The project consists of not only the film but, the original soundtrack and pop album titled 'hopefulROMANTIC - The Deluxe Edition', featuring new, acoustic renditions of songs featured in the film, as well as a bonus video duet with Jeb Havens - available on October 16, 2015.
