Last night, Broadway legend Andre De Shields celebrated the opening night of B-Side Productions' The Wild Party, Michael John LaChiusa and George C. Wolfe's 2000 Broadway musical, helmed by Associate Artistic Director Billy Bustamante, featuring music direction by Addison Frei, at the TBG Theatre in New York. Jasper Grant is Artistic Director of B-Side Productions. Broadwayworld takes you inside the opening night party.

Redhouse Arts Center Announces its 2016-17 Season
The Red House Arts Center is pleased to announce its 2016-17 Main Stage Season which features a high-flying mix of musicals, plays and performances. This will be a season of exciting transition for the organization as it prepares to move operations from its current home to the new Redhouse @ City Center. There is so much excitement in store for the Syracuse Community! Samara Hannah, Acting Executive Director commented "We are thrilled to present an array of productions, from Tony Award-winning classics, to those packed with drama and comedy to tickle your funny bone. One thing is for sure, this season is not to be missed!"

This developmental prize aims to resource early and mid-career musical theater writers with the opportunity to further develop a work in progress. B-Side Productions will accept traditional book musicals, concept pieces, and plays with music, but most importantly, submissions that challenge the traditional forms of musical theater, create community, and dare to be unique/messy/irreverent.

It's been a little over a week since our big Broadway opening for ON THE TOWN on October 16, and I'm still aglow from the sheer magnitude of opening night. Join her for a reimagining of works from Janis Joplin, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin and more of the musical storytellers that have inspired Wicks on her journeys from coast to coast.
