Anne Wilson Crowned as New Artist of the Year at 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards
Capitol CMG artist and songwriter Anne Wilson took home two awards at the 53rd annual GMA Dove Awards for New Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for her breakthrough single “My Jesus.” Making a splash at her first Dove Awards appearance, the evening brought Wilson's touching performance of “My Jesus” to center stage.
BWW Review: STEEL MAGNOLIAS at The Belmont Theatre
Attempting to produce a show adapted into an award-winning film is challenging. With audience members continually comparing the performance to highly acclaimed actors, it takes a brave director and a confident cast to pull off Steel Magnolias. Jack Hartmann (director) should be applauded for rising to the challenge and creating a wonderful night at The Belmont Theatre's interactive black box environment.

Lance Bass welcomed everyone to the event, and brought Isabella and Mariella Rickel to the stage, who gave a heartfelt introduction to their mother, Nancy Davis. Nancy thanked everyone for their ongoing commitment to the cause, and expressed her excitement over Earth, Wind & Fire’s upcoming performance.

Based on the 2005 film by the same name, the musical 'Kinky Boots' tells the story of an unlikely partnership between a failing shoe manufacturer (Charlie) and a fabulous cabaret entertainer (Lola). Although they come from very different worlds, the two realize that they are not so different after all. Playing the challenging role of Lola is New Hampshire native Darius Harper. Working both nationally and internationally, Harper brings years of experience and talent to the Fulton stage.

Surprise! Surprise! Any production based on the life of Martin Luther King is bound to be deep, thought provoking, and moving. The Mountaintop by Katori Hall was no exception. Adding to the drama and emotion, however, was the unexpected humor in Hall's dialogue. This production had the audience bursting with laughter and tears.
