BIG FISH, SMALL CAST EDITION Comes to the Firehouse Theatre in May
With a book by John August and music by Andrew Lippa, the musical is based on the film and novel of the same name. The show is directed by Alex S. Freeman, with music direction by Jason Philip Solis, and choreography by Kelsey Jordan Ward. Thi Le serves as Assistant Director and Hannah Tolle is the Stage Manager.

The Firehouse Theatre to Present THE WIZARD OF OZ
The Firehouse Theatre will present The Wizard of Oz family concert event December 5-22, 2019. With dreams of escaping her mundane life, a cyclone hits and Dorothy and Toto are transported to the Land of Oz. Somewhere over the rainbow, Dorothy and Toto meet Glinda, the Munchkins, the Wicked Witch of the West, and three new friends, The Scarecrow, The Tinman, and The Lion. Along the way towards the Emerald City, the friends encounter a haunted forest, jitterbugs, and flying monkeys. In the end, the audience is reminded that a?oeThere's No Place Like Home,a?? especially during the holidays.
BWW Interview: Dave Malloy Talks London's GHOST QUARTET and Previews MOBY-DICK
Composer, writer and actor Dave Malloy's work includes the Tony Award-winning Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Octet, and his upcoming adaptation of Moby-Dick - the latter directed by regular collaborator Rachel Chavkin and starring Malloy. This year, London also sees two of his shows: Preludes, soon to conclude its run at Southwark Playhouse, and Ghost Quartet, which plays at the new Boulevard Theatre from 24 October.

BRIGHT STAR Comes To The Firehouse Theatre Next Month
The Firehouse Theatre is proud to present the regional premiere of Bright Star May 23 - June 9, 2019. Inspired by real events of the 1940s, Bright Star tells a tale of love and redemption told through a Grammy-nominated bluegrass score. Written by Texans Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Bright Star premiered on Broadway in 2016. Local favorite Lucy Shea will return to Dallas from Chicago to star as Alice Murphy in Bright Star. Tyler Jeffrey Adams directs.

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is producing a reading of the new musical THE TATTOOED LADY, book by Obie-winner Erin Courtney, music and lyrics by Lucille Lortel-winner Max Vernon, and direction by Ellie Heyman. THE TATTOOED LADY was selected for Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's Triple R program, giving the writers 2 readings and a residency to do extensive development of their musical in a compressed time frame.
