Review: VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE at 4th Wall Theatre Company
I feel like this company, at this point in time, is simply happy to be here doing this show, and I can say the feeling is infectious. It’s not your typical holiday offering, but you can never be wrong with the wit of Christopher Durang and the magic of invoking the spirit of Maggie Smith. I’m thankful this season for companies like 4th WALL, which produce plays that offer the joy of what theater is all about.
Review: 4TH WALL THEATRE CO.'s SHOWS PROWESS IN EXCEPTIONAL FAIRVIEW
Do you ever watch a film and think about what you do in the conflict? Does your concept of that conflict change? How would you react if you were in Thano's snap or your father said you couldn't interact with the human world because you live underwater? Now add those ideas and mix them with thoughts of race. These contemplations are at the heart of Jackie Sibblies Drury's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Fairview, which is currently open at 4th Wall Theatre Co.

BWW Review: Greek God, Diane, Wreaks Havoc in Rec Room Arts HURRICANE DIANE
The unconventional and oddball comedy from the Pulitzer Prize finalist, Madeleine George, sees the Greek god, Dionysus, reenter civilization disguised as a butch gardener, Diane. The god's mission to seduce mortal women and help end climate change creates a story that elicits guttural laughs and a great night of Houston theatre.

BWW Review: BLAQUE TCHERIE at Vincent Victoria Presents
BLAQUE TCHERIE makes for an impressive film debut for Vincent Victoria, and it looks like his empire may expand to new mediums. It’s a funny film with a very sweet message about black women and how they should be perceived.

BWW Review: JUST LENA Weathers the Storm at Vincent Victoria Presents
We struggle as humans to fit in and be enough at any given moment, and that's the lesson Lena Horne offered the world and herself. Even though she made history and became a champion of the Civil Rights movement, she struggled every step of the way with the identity created by her appearance and demeanor.
HATTIE'S BIG NIGHT Returns to Midtown Art Center
After the success of Vincent Victoria Presents' latest original play 'Hattie's Big Night' in February, the company decided to bring the show back for four additional encore performances this Mother's Day Weekend. It seems appropriate, as the show's central character Hattie Mc Daniel was the unofficial 'Mother of Black Hollywood' during her over twenty year career in Hollywood. Known for her kindness and generosity towards other performers, Mc Daniel was a fixture in the film community during the 1930's and 40's.
