HEY VIOLA! Comes to the Anvil Theatre in March
The Anvil Theatre will bring back to the stage, Hey Viola!, a musical exploration of Canadian Civil Rights hero, Viola Desmond from March 16 – 27. Set in a cabaret style, this show could not be more relevant in this time of Civil Rights, Black Lives Matter, and Women’s Rights movements.
AteNine and Ballet Hispanico Come to Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival
Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival presents AteNine in the Doris Duke Theatre, July 26-30. AteNine, formerly Ate9dANCEcOMPANY, is led by Artistic Director and choreographer Danielle Agami, named “choreography's It girl” by the LA Times. A former dancer and rehearsal director of the world-renowned Batsheva Dance Company, Agami draws from her background in Gaga movement practice to create bold, innovative work. The program will include two works: Exhibit b and excerpts from vickie. AteNine dancers move with an intense clarity praised as “odd, fleeting, and gorgeous, it left you wanting much, much more” (Janet Smith, The Georgia Straight).
ON ONE CONDITION to Make U.S. Premiere at SoHo Playhouse
NY's SoHo Playhouse in association with Dan Daw Creative Projects and Murmuration (AUS) present will present the US debut of ON ONE CONDITION, directed by Graham Adey and performed by Dan Daw. It will play at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street), from May 18 - 26, 2017.

Scottish Dance Theatre Announces New Artistic Director
Following an extensive search, the Board of Dundee Rep Theatre Ltd has announced the appointment of Fleur Darkin to the role of Artistic Director for Scottish Dance Theatre (SDT), Scotland's national contemporary dance company and part of Dundee Rep Theatre, effective Autumn 2012. Darkin will replace Janet Smith who has recently taken up the post of Principal at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
