Submissions Now Open For Live & In Color's 2024 Season
Live & In Color is accepting submissions for their 2024 Fall retreat at the Bingham Camp. Playwrights, composers, and lyricists of color and underrepresented communities can submit their new musicals with a 4-actor cast limit. Selected submissions will receive a $1,000 stipend, housing, meals, and travel.

An international award-winning pianist, Janet took a U-turn by starting her post-college career as a Wall Street investment banker. She came back to music after being awarded a musical theater writing scholarship to NYU-Tisch and upon graduating with a Master of Fine Arts, made her acting debut as a principal role on Broadway.

The June Bingham New Playwright Commission honors the legacy of the late artist and playwright, June Bingham, by providing support to a new generation of early-career women/femme and/or non-binary storytellers as they seek to create work that manifests change in the world. Director and Arts Leader, Abigail Grubb, serves as the Program's Director and Co-Founder alongside Live & In Color's Artistic Director and June Bingham's nephew, Devanand Janki.

The evening will feature a roadmap of songs from Live & In Color's artistic community and will serve as a fundraiser to support the company's continued mission to develop commercially bound plays and musicals created by artists who exist within the intersections of underrepresented identities and center inclusion.

Head over to the Green Room 42 on 6/02 to celebrate the work of Live & In Color and all the artists that have come through their doors! The fundraiser will be hosted by Tony Award Winner BD Wong and will feature songs from all the different pieces Live & In Color has created throughout the years. This concert will be a fundraiser to help support the company's mission to develop talent with the goal of diversity and inclusion at its core.
Live & In Color Now Accepting Submissions For New Musicals.
Live & In Color is looking for playwrights, composers, and lyricists of color and/or other underrepresented communities interested in developing their new musical. The winning musical submission will have a two-week workshop this fall at The Bingham Camp in Salem, Connecticut culminating in a staged presentation to an invited audience.
