Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its Target Storybook Series with Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train LIVE! - Buddy's Big Adventure on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 12pm and 3pm. Recommended for ages three and up, the popular Emmy Award nominated PBS KIDS series comes to life for this interactive 'pre-hysterical' musical. While most take a serious approach, the Bergen County Players, one of the region's most acclaimed theatre companies, has decided it is also possible to face the subject head on by presenting the wickedly funny and provocative Tony and Pulitzer Prize award-winning play Clybourne Park.

Just under a week until Halloween, Bayou City Theatrics kicks off their inaugural season with Richard O'Brien's cult-favorite, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. While audiences at the Toyota Center waited for the original material girl to take the stage, Bayou City Theatrics channeled 80s inspired glam pop-punk fashions with their own breed of material girls (and boys) and treated their audience to a fresh rendition of the classic show.

Before the midnight movie showings, before the audience participation there was a little stage show from England called "The Rocky Horror Show" that tried to push social and sexual boundaries with its risque themes. Well, Open Circle Theatre is trying to bring that boundary pushing into a new millennium with their own production of the classic, albeit odd, musical. And while some of it comes across as a bit self serving and under produced, the production manages to take a new look at what an old show could do today.
