Every year New Paradigm Theatre (www.nptheatre.org) hosts a party for their 'tribe' of supporters on Giving Day. This year we are hosting a virtual party that is full of performances and shout outs from our favorite Broadway performers and youth. Performers include Grammy and Emmy winner Paul Bogaev, Broadway veterans Jodi Stephens, Janelle Robinson, Kristin Huffman, Jamie Karen, Patrick Heffernan, Randye Kaye, Mark Deklin, Sue Gilad, Larry Rowgowski, Joe Barros, Barbara Distinti and many more!

Today on Leading Ladies is special guest: Broadway veteran, Janelle Robinson. For the past ten years, Janelle Anne Robinson has enjoyed an ongoing professional career on the operatic and musical theater stage. She has performed in France and Japan, and also toured extensively within the United States. Janelle has also been honored with several awards, including The Richard Tucker Study Grant and the MacAllister Award.
Hartt Summer Musical Theatre Intensive Preprofessional To Feature HAMILTON Masterclass
The Hartt School Community Division, University of Hartford will begin accepting applications January 1, 2018 for their popular Summer Musical Theatre Intensive programs, led by Hartt voice faculty and program director Michelle Murray Fiertek. Summer Musical Theatre Preprofessional and Junior programs are exceptional summer-study opportunities for young performers to develop their acting, singing, and dance skills while working closely with top industry professionals. The programs culminate in showcase performances that are tailored specifically to the participants.
Hartford Opera Theater Features Deaf Actress in Copland's THE TENDER LAND
Hartford Opera Theater is pleased to present THE TENDER LAND with music by Aaron Copland, libretto by Horace Everett, as its main stage production. Directed by Kristy Chambrelli with music direction by Joseph Hodge, THE TENDER LAND tells the story of a young girl, who finds herself on the cusp of adulthood and must choose whether to remain in her small town or experience what the world has to offer.

Playhouse on Park to Offer Acting a Song Class, Today
On Today, July 1st, Playhouse on Park will hold a master class called Acting a Song from 7 pm to 9 pm. The goal of this class will be to guide students to improve their performance of a musical theatre song. Students should bring a few musical theatre songs, and be prepared to perform one at the workshop. The instructor will critique each student on their theatrical presentation of their song, and teach them how to take their performance to the next level.
