In 2017, Guelph's Andrew McPherson and Toronto-based Lenka Lichtenberg first joined forces when they co-created a project called 'Lenkkodek', which combined material from Lenka's extensive catalogue with Andrew's remixing and production sensibilities. The result was a thorough reinvention of Lenka's material, exploring the worlds of dub, electronica, jazz and ambient music. The first track, 'Open my Eyes' was featured as CBC's Song of the Week, and, on the song 'Still Hopeful', the two artists created their first-ever original collaborative work.

Governor Proclaims April Official Jazz Appreciation Month
As part of Jazz Appreciation Month, Governor Doug Ducey has issued an official proclamation declaring April 2018 as Jazz Appreciation Month and April 30, 2018 as International Jazz Appreciation Day. Representing Governor Doug Ducey to present the Proclamation was Barry Wong, Director of the Governor's Office of Equal Opportunity. Mr. Wong read the proclamation to audiences at The Nash on March 29 at the Lewis Nash Pro Jam, with Lewis Nash and Doc Jones in attendance. The Proclamation will be on display at The Nash throughout the month.
