Review Roundup: Big Brother Has Its Eyes on Opening Night of 1984

Adapted and directed by Icke and Macmillan, 1984 officially arrives in New York this evening on the heels of four wildly successful U.K. runs. The strictly limited engagement began performances on May 18, 2017, and tonight is opening night on Broadway at the new Hudson Theatre.
ELTC Presents THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY, 6/29

'The High and the Mighty' directed by William Wellman will be shown on June 29 at 8:30p.m., and is the second of East Lynne Theater Company's and The Cape May Film Society's 'Sunday Film Series' with the theme 'Pilots and Pirates.' The "Pirate" films come later, with 'The Crimson Pirate' and 'The Black Pirate' on August 3 and 10 at 8:30p.m. In the fall, on October 19 at 8:00p.m., the final day of the Cape May Film Festival, it's an evening of spooky classic silent short films.

FACT Theatre Presents THE SONG OF EDDIE KING Reading at Roy Arias Theatre Tonight

THE SONG OF EDDIE KING, a modern day Oedipus, will be presented as a reading by FRIENDS ALWAYS CREATING (FACT) THEATRE as part of a benefit evening being held tonight, May 20th at 7:00PM at Roy Arias Theatre, 300 West 43rd Street. The evening will consist of an hour long reading of the new play, an auction and raffle and wine and a talk back with the author of the play, Jamesai Schempp.
