Trumpeter Jami Dauber is a widely acclaimed performer, educator, and recording artist. Jami is currently performing on Broadway as a member of the orchestra for A Bronx Tale. She was also a member of the orchestra for the Broadway production of Honeymoon in Vegas featuring Tony Danza and in the off-Broadway production of Maurice Hines’ Tappin’ Thru Life. She has also performed in several productions at Papermill Playhouse including Bandstand and A Bronx Tale.
For over 22 years in New York City, Jami has performed a wide variety of music, from Broadway and cabaret to jazz, salsa and classical. She has been a member of the DIVA Jazz Orchestra and its core quintet FIVE PLAY for over 22 years and has been a long time band member of the Ellington Legacy. She has also appeared with Jason Robert Brown, the Wycliffe Gordon Big Band, Christian McBride Big Band, and the Birdland Big Band.
She has recorded for Telarc, Ghostlight Records, Universal Music Enterprises, Rock-It Science and Arbors Records labels and can be heard on the original cast recordings of A Bronx Tale and Honeymoon in Vegas.
Jami holds degrees from the University of Florida and the University of North Texas.
