Frameline44 Festival to be Held This September
Today, Frameline—the world's longest-running and largest showcase of queer cinema—announced that the Frameline44 Festival, previously postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held virtually September 17–27, 2020.
New LGBTQ Festival Alliance, North American Queer Festival Alliance (NAQFA), Debuts With Online
The premiere North American LGBTQ film festivals: Frameline (San Francisco), Inside Out (Toronto), NewFest (NYC), and Outfest (Los Angeles), today announced their commitment to supporting LGBTQ film and filmmakers across their markets through the formation of NAQFA: the North American Queer Festival Alliance. This alliance will work collaboratively to produce, present and expand initiatives and programming while offering support to the LGBTQ film festival sector in the US and Canada. The announcement was made today by the Executive Directors of each festival, James Woolley of Frameline, Andria Wilson of Inside Out, David Hatkoff of NewFest and Damien S. Navarro of Outfest.

Frameline Names Lindsey Hodgson As New Director Of Distribution And Educational Programming
Following an extensive search, Frameline announced Lindsey Hodgson as its new Director of Distribution and Educational Programming. In this role, Hodgson will oversee Frameline Distribution, the world's only non-profit LGBTQ+ film distributor serving OTT platforms, broadcasters, educational institutions, public libraries, film festivals, and community members; Frameline Voices, which provides a platform to connect and amplify stories of underrepresented perspectives to a global audience; and Youth in Motion, which provides free LGBTQ+ films and curriculum guides to Genders & Sexualities Alliances and educators.
