2021 St. Louis Arts Awards Honorees Announced
The Arts and Education Council has announced eight honorees for the 2021 St. Louis Arts Awards. Now in its 30th year, the event honors individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the St. Louis region's arts community.
Denis O'Hare, Johanna Day and Claybourne Elder to Star in Eric Rosen's Film NETUSER
Tony Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Denis O'Hare will star in Eric Rosen's film NETUSER, about Peter Sardovski, an activist whose life unravels when a nightmare about political violence turns true. Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award nominee Claybourne Elder plays his husband who struggles to prevent Peter's compulsion from endangering their young son. Two time Tony Award nominee Johanna Day will play his sister-in-law, a NYPD detective who struggles to shield her brother's family from danger. The film also features Tatiana Wechsler as Peter's editor Jenny.
Women's Action Network to Feature Musical Guests During Danish Festival
Women's Action Network (WAN) will host the WAN MarketPlace & Food Court for the 52nd annual Danish Festival from August 19th to the 21st. Located in Veterans Park in Greenville, the WAN MarketPlace & Food Court will feature merchants, and food vendors as well as a variety of musical entertainment.
Classical French Actor Louis Jourdan Has Died at 93
Louis Jourdan, a French actor famous for American film and television appearances in the Oscar-winning musical GIGI, MADAME BOVARY, CAN-CAN, and THE FIRST OLYMPICS: ATHENS, 1896, as well as Broadway appearances in shows such as ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER, has died. The Hollywood Walk of Fame winner was 93.
