Review: What the Hades â€" the Met Brings Back Morris's Lovely ORFEO with Costanzo
Considering all the productions in the Met’s repertoire that have been conceived (or, perhaps more justly, concocted) by directors from other media who don’t seem to understand or like opera, Mark Morris is a gem. So is his concept for Gluck’s ORFEO ED EURIDICE, the myth of a man who is permitted to go to the land of the dead to retrieve his beloved wife, which was seen in a revival that opened the other night with countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo and soprano Ying Fang in the title roles.

The Paul Taylor Dance Company's 2023 Season at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, from October 31 through November 12, will include fourteen dances by five choreographers – Ulysses Dove, Amy Hall Garner, Larry Keigwin, Lauren Lovette, and Paul Taylor – and feature world premieres by Lovette, PTDC's Resident Choreographer, and Keigwin, Taylor Company Commissioned choreographer.
The Broad Stage Presents Mark Morris Dance Group & Music Ensemble in MOZART DANCES
The Broad Stage presents the venue debut of Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) with the MMDG Music Ensemble in Mozart Dances, June 9 through 12. The program features a world premiere chamber arrangement of Piano Concerto No. 27 by MMDG Music Director Colin Fowler, along with Piano Concerto No. 11 and Sonata for Two Pianos, all performed live on The Broad Stage's mainstage.
Paul Taylor Dance Company Runs for Special Engagement at the Joyce Theater
