BLACKNESS IS… Arts Festival Lineup and Artists Announced

MN Black Theatre Circle, in partnership with the Guthrie Theater, will present Blackness Is…, a theater-inspired arts festival to be streamed May 21–22 at 7:30 p.m. and May 23 at 7 p.m. CDT. Over the course of three days, the festival will offer a dynamic and diverse showcase of theater, music, dance, poetry and spoken word.

Virginia Repertory Theatre Presents August Wilson's FENCES

This Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning drama will be presented at Virginia Rep's November Theatre (114 West Broad Street) beginning February 7th, 2020 with two preview performances on Wednesday, February 5th and Thursday, February 6th. August Wilson's powerful masterwork will be onstage through March 1st. Fences is presented as part of the Acts of Faith Festival. 

Indican Pictures Brings Vampire Thriller BLOOD WIDOW To Horror Fans This February 4

 The vampire thriller Blood Widow will see a DVD release this February 4th. Already released on Digital platforms this past January 15th, Blood Widow brings a serial killer to a small Arizona town. But, this killer is fanged and immortal! Blood Widow is a film from director Brendan Guy Murphy (Limbo). Playwrights' Center Announces 2018-19 McKnight Theater Artist Fellows

The McKnight Theater Artist Fellowships at the Playwrights' Center recognize Minnesota theater artists other than playwrights whose work demonstrates exceptional artistic merit. The fellowship provides a $25,000 award as well as access to $7,000 in development funds. Selection is based on a commitment to theater arts, evidence of professional achievement and a sustained level of excellence in the applicant's work.
