With the highly anticipated VAULT Festival kicking off 2023 it has been announced that James Barnes will return with The Ballerina after its cancellation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. From leading theatre company Khaos and based on a true story, this ground-breaking production explores a refreshing take on what contemporary western audiences perceive as the African diplomatic class.

Leo Tolstoy's ANNA KARENINA adapted by Helen Edmundson (currently represented on The West End with Queen Anne) was presented as a developmental reading at The Arcola Theatre on July 23 in London. The 'electrifying' adaptation was devised by Jaclyn Bethany with company members James Barnes, Jasmine Blackborow, Peta Cornish, Aisha Fabienne Ross, Will Haddington, Kate Handford, Blake Kubena, William Sebag-Montefiore and produced by Joanne Williams.

Returning to The Rose Playhouse after their acclaimed production of The Taming of the Shrew in 2013 and the opera Orpheus and Eurydice in 2014, Time Zone Theatre presents a new, contemporary adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragedy Othello. Director Pamela Schermann transfers the action to the cityscape of modern London. Here, in this high-flying executive business world, we dive into an abyss of power and intrigue, riddled with suspicion and jealousy. Beneath the surface of this civilised and polite environment we encounter brutality and callousness.
