ALAA: A FAMILY TRILOGY Closes Out Golden Thread's 2024 Season

Golden Thread Productions, the country's first theater company devoted to the Middle East, will present a script-in-hand workshop production with extensive tech elements of Adam Ashraf Elsayigh's ALAA: A Family Trilogy, with generative dramaturgy by Salma S. Zohdi and directed by Evren Odcikin. 
Tor Hillhouse Joins The Cast of PERFECT CRIME Off-Broadway

Tor Hillhouse has joined the cast of Off-Broadway's PERFECT CRIME, by stepping into the role of Detective James Asher, stepping in for Michael Halling through February 19th.
KPM Music Library Debuts on Streaming Services

The iconic KPM Music Library catalogue has been made available to download and stream in its entirety for the first time after being fully digitised.  
JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH JR. Opening at Artisan Center Theater

Artisan Children's Theater proudly presents JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH JR. at its 148 seat Second Stage facility.  The theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.  The show runs Saturday, June 3, 2017 through Saturday, July 8, 2017.  Performances are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:00am and 12:00pm. No performance July 4. Golden Thread Productions, the first American theatre company to focus on the Middle East, continues its 20th Anniversary Season with the West Coast premiere of Yussef El Guindi's humorous and hard-hitting Our Enemies: Lively Scenes of Love and Combat, directed by Founding Artistic Director Torange Yeghiazarian. In this juicy denunciation of the mainstream media machine, struggling writer Gamal hates the way his fellow Arab-Americans represent their culture on American media. It's easy enough to take out his frustration on literature superstar Mohsen and local mosque leader, Sheikh Alfani. But when his own girlfriend and novelist Noor gets an offer from a major publisher backed with a national media campaign, how will Gamal manage his frustration? Our Enemies runs October 28-November 20, 2016 at the Thick House (1695 18th Street, San Francisco) and performs Thursdays-Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 3pm. San Francisco Opera's SHOW BOAT, Starring Harriet Harris & Bill Irwin, Coming to the Big Screen

Rising Alternative today announced that San Francisco Opera's critically acclaimed production of SHOW BOAT will be screened in movie theatres across the country this summer. San Francisco Opera's production of the Broadway classic, which features music by Jerome Kern and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, opened in June of 2014, and is directed by theater and opera director Francesca Zambello.
Berkeley Rep Presents THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER 10/12
