JAKE EHRENREICH is a musician, author and playwright. He is currently featured in the film The Last Laugh alongside Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner, and has appeared on Broadway in Dancin', Barnum, They're Playing Our Song and toured internationally as Ringo in Beatlemania.
A Brooklyn born child of Holocaust survivors, Jake is best known as star and creator of his record breaking musical -
A Jew Grows in Brooklyn, which is now a bestselling book. Jake’s writings also appear in Summer Haven, The Catskills, The Holocaust and the Literary Imagination alongside Nobel Prize Winner Isaac Bashevis Singer.
Jake’s newest CD is A Treasury of Jewish Christmas Songs with Oscar nominee / Grammy winning pianist Roger Kellaway.
NYC declared A Jew Grows in Brooklyn Day in 2012, and Jake received Special Congressional Citation and induction into the Brooklyn Jewish Hall of Fame and in 2016.

Many folks don't think of these composers as Jewish so much as quintessentially American, nor do they think of these Christmas songs as Jewish. But Ehrenreich, who grew up in Brooklyn as a child of Jewish Holocaust survivors, does.

But prior to that opening, he'll visit the Miami Jewish Film festival as a special guest speaker to discuss his participation in the recent film, The Last Laugh, cinematographer Ferne Pearlstein's fascinating look at the importance of laughter under even the most dire of circumstances.
