Scarpetta, the crime book series by author Patricia Cornwell, will be coming to the screen. Prime Video has greenlit two seasons of the series, which is set to star Broadway performers Ariana DeBose and Bobby Cannavale alongside Simon Baker, Rose McEwen, and Jake Cannavale.

Earlier this week, The Nederlander Organization unveiled the new Lena Horne Theatre in honor of the iconic entertainer and civil rights activist. This is the first Broadway theatre in history to be named for a Black woman. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out photos from the ceremony here!

On Tuesday, April 5th, Theatre Communications Group (TCG) presented 'An Evening with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis,' author of the hit Broadway play The Motherf***er with the Hat, which featured a reading of excerpts from several of his plays, a discussion, and signing of his newly published play, Between Riverside and Crazy, for which he received the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, at the Drama Book Shop in New York, now celebrating its 99th year. This time, David's Sanders was eager to apologize on behalf of his supporters, saying, 'I want to thank everyone for voting for me and apologize to everyone else for making your Facebook feeds so, so annoying.
