Former West End ALADDIN Star Jade Ewen Sues Over Claims of Damaged Vocal Cords
Jade Ewen is suing the West End production of Aladdin due to claims that her vocal cords were damaged while starring in the production. The former Sugababes singer alleges that her co-star Matthew Croke found it difficult to 'maintain harmony' so he sang louder, forcing Ewen to also sing louder, and thus damaging her voice.

Jade Ewen, Mirren Mack, Rachel Bright, and Unique Spencer will star in The Beast of Blue Yonder when it opens at Southwark Playhouse in April. Along with comedian and actor Steve Furst (Little Britain, Stephen Polliakoff's Summer of Rockets, Matilda West End), Charlie Quirke (Birds of a Feather), Lucy Gape (Hollyoaks, Hollyoaks Later), and Tyler Conti (Safe) they will form the backbone of a talented ensemble cast in Philip Ridley's rip roaring dark comedy.

Disney's Aladdin marked its anniversary this week having celebrated its official opening night three years ago on 15 June 2016. Last night, Aladdin celebrated its second birthday on London's West End. The show was celebrated with a celebrity gala that included guests such as Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall, Marcus Collins, Amelia Lily, Ore Oduba, Ryan Molloy, Killian Murphy, Made in Chelsea's Ryan Libbey, and London Hughes.

As it prepares to celebrate its second birthday in the West End, Disney's Aladdin announces today that fourteen new cast members will be joining the company. Matthew Croke will continue to star in the title role, having joined the company in June 2017, opposite original London cast members Jade Ewen (Jasmine) and Trevor Dion Nicholas (Genie). New cast members include Fred Johanson as Jafar and Julian Capolei as Omar. Original cast member Jermaine Woods will play Iago, having previously covered the role.
