New Valley Theater to Revive 2016 Hit EVICTION NOTICE
The 2016 hit Eviction Notice is back in NoHo. The hit comedy has a new director, a new cast, and a new take. Eviction Notice will open February 2, 2018 and close February 24, 2018. It will play Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm at The Sherry Theatre, 11052 Magnolia Blvd. North Hollywood, CA 91601.

Defiance Theatre Co Presents GROUP a World Premiere Play About PTSD
"GROUP", a play about PTSD will premiere at the Avery Schreiber Playhouse in the NoHo Arts District during PTSD Awareness month. The story takes place in a group therapy session, during which a handful of characters explore their individual trauma. Guided by a caring therapist with his own issues, 5 victims of trauma must work through their struggles to discover that their perceptions of each other and themselves are not always what they seem. This play addresses issues relating to veterans, domestic abuse, racism, and gender identity.

Although Clifford Odets forgotten masterpiece 'Rocket to the Moon' first premiered back in 1938, many of the themes of the Depression-era drama feel totally in step today with our own financial and career woes. With its central character, Ben Stark, (Jesse Steccato) is a dentist stuck in an unhappy marriage and a stagnant dental practice who longs for both more money as well as more passion and joy in his life. Things are set on a collision course with fate when he hires the beautiful, young Cleo Singer (lovely Kristin Couture) as his new receptionist. As his marriage fails and he succumbs to Cleo's flirting, will she be his proverbial rocket to the moon, thus allowing his dreams to come true? And will he be willing to change his life and take the necessary risks in order to make that happen?

Attempting to produce all of Shakespeare's plays would be daunting task for any theatre company but one young group of actors has continued to stay the course. Over a ten-year period, the Porters of Hellsgate have produced twenty of the playwright's thirty-eight plays, steadily working toward their goal of being the first in Los Angeles to mount the entire canon. Director Brooke Bishop, 24, and actress Allison Volk, 26, founded City Shakespeare Company (City Shakes) to make art accessible to the Los Angeles public. Their first production, in collaboration with the James Gray Gallery at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, will be a one-night-only free performance of Shrew, Bishop's 'no-holds-barred adaptation of Shakespeare's most controversial rom-com,' Taming of the Shrew. It takes place on Valentine's Day.
