Metropolis Ensemble to Perform Live Score to METROPOLIS at National Sawdust
The Grammy-nominated Metropolis Ensemble will make its debut performance at National Sawdust on March 10 for a special screening of the iconic film Metropolis set to the world premiere of original music by electronic artist/composer Ricardo Romaneiro, who is becoming known for his creative explorations harnessing the newest hardware and music software innovations in live performance.
Wet Ink Ensemble Releases Wet Ink: 20, Album Celebrating 20th Anniversary, On Carrier Records
On Friday, September 15th, 2018, Wet Ink releases Wet Ink: 20 on Carrier Records, the group's first full-length album focused on works for sinfonietta, featuring the 28 musicians of the Wet Ink Large Ensemble. The release celebrates Wet Ink's 20th Anniversary, and highlights the ethos of innovation through collaboration that has guided the work of Wet Ink throughout the ensemble's history. The album includes works by Wet Ink's four acclaimed composer members Alex Mincek, Sam Pluta, Kate Soper, and Eric Wubbels alongside music by Katherine Young and Anthony Braxton.
Princeton Symphony Announces Gala - UNDER THE STARS IN BUENOS AIRES, 4/8
The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is preparing to send out invitations for this season's tango-themed gala-Under the Stars in Buenos Aires-featuring the return of violinist Daniel Rowland and his virtuosic performance of music by the tango master Astor Piazzolla with musicians of the PSO. The fundraiser includes cocktails, dinner, dancing, and live auction, and will be held at Jasna Polana on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
Carolyn Dorfman Dance Unveils Collaborative World Premiere at NJPAC Performance and Gala Benefit
Carolyn Dorfman Dance, whose bold and dramatic works connect life and movement, hosts its annual performance and gala benefit at New Jersey's premiere performing arts center (NJPAC), Friday, April 8, 2016, at 8:00 p.m. Ten of Dorfman's stunning dancers will present the world premiere of Traces-her newest work in collaboration with her stellar artistic team from her award winning, Interior Designs. Her riveting and explosive Echad and the sensuous duet Keystone will also be performed during this celebratory evening. The Jerry Vezza Quartet will entertain during the pre-show reception, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and at the dessert reception following the performance. Traces will have its New York premiere the following weekend on April 16th, 8:00 p.m., at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC), Long Island City, Queens.

Princeton Symphony Orchestra Executive Director Marc Uys Perform at March 20th Chamber Concert
Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) Executive Director Marc Uys returns to his musician roots at the PSO's Spring Chamber Concert Sunday, March 20 at 4:30 pm at the Institute for Advanced Study. Mr. Uys, harpist Bridget Kibbey, and soprano Mary Mackenzie will perform works by composer and former Princeton University professor Edward T. Cone, the Institute's Artist-in-Residence Sebastian Currier, Camille Saint-Saens, and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
PSO Holiday POPS! Wonderlands Concert to be Held 12/19
On Saturday, December 19 at 4 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents Holiday POPS! Wonderlands featuring festive music sparked by imaginative visions of distant lands. Conducted by John Devlin, concert highlights include works by Vaughan-Williams, Tchaikovsky, Humperdinck, and Sibelius. The Princeton High School Choir performs Handel's Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah and arrangements of "I Saw Three Ships" and "Twelve Days of Christmas," accompanied by the orchestra. The traditional sing-along, an arrangement of seasonal favorites by Leroy Anderson, includes the addition of young violinists of El Sistema-Trenton playing alongside PSO professionals. The student musicians also perform David Rimelis' "Three Little Birds/Ode to Joy."
Princeton Symphony Orchestra Launches Season with Seven World Premieres, 10/4
Princeton, NJ – The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) four-concert 2015-2016 Chamber Series opens Sunday, October 4 at 4:30 pm with the Signum Quartet performing seven #quartweet premieres written by PSO composer friends Derek Bermel, Sebastian Currier, Julian Grant, Jing Jing Luo, Steven Mackey, Caroline Shaw, and Sarah Kirkland Snider. The group's #quartweet project explores the integration of Twitter formatting with composer creativity, encouraging composers worldwide of all ages and experience levels to create condensed works of 140 notes or less. The concert, which also features full-length works by Beethoven and Janá?ek, and #quartweet precursors by Bach and Webern, will take place at the Institute for Advanced Study's Wolfensohn Hall. The chamber concert serves as the official public launch of the quartet's worldwide #quartweet tour.

Princeton Symphony Orchestra Appoints Marc Uys as New Executive Director
Princeton, NJ--The Board of Trustees of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Uys as Executive Director following a nationwide search conducted by an executive recruiting firm specializing in the arts. Mr. Uys (pronounced “ace”) has served as Manager of Artistic Operations of the PSO since August 2014. He will succeed Melanie Clarke on July 1. She is stepping down after 25 years of service to the PSO.

Jeremiah James Joins the Cast of Off-Broadway's THE FANTASTICKS Today
West End star and international recording artist Jeremiah James will be joining the cast of The Fantasticks, the world's longest running musical, on Tuesday, October 29th, just weeks after its milestone celebration of 20,000 performances in New York. Mr. James will assume the role of El Gallo, which was performed by George Dvorsky.

THE FANTASTICKS, the world's longest running musical, will celebrate a record breaking 20,000th New York performance, on Sunday, September 15, 2013, announced producers Catherine Russell and Al Parinello. The milestone will mark the first time a production (on Broadway or off-Broadway) has ever reached 20,000 performances and will be commemorated in a month long celebration that includes performing at Broadway in Bryant Park and Little Italy, and with The Museum of The City of New York's future cyber gallery highlighting the history of the production.
