Jacob Rivera-Sanchez is a DFW-based actor, graphic designer and also has aspirations in directing and theatre journalism. He is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre.
He is currently a freelance graphic designer and is the Theatre Business Manager of Texas Wesleyan University's theatre department. He's also a full-time musical theatre enthusiast.
He made his mainstage directorial debut with Theatre Wesleyan's production of "Fuddy Meers" by David Lindsay-Abaire in fall 2014, after completing two student-directed projects, "How Many To Tango?" by Sandra J. Albert in fall 2013 and "The Passing of an Actor" by Willard Simms in spring 2011.
In 2014, he was named NewYork.com's Ultimate Broadway Fan and received an all-expense paid trip to the 2014 Tony Awards rehearsal in New York City, hosted by Hugh Jackman.
In 2016, Jacob participated in the Kennedy Center ACTF Musical Theatre Initiative and was named National Finalist (1st Runner Up). He was accepted into the Open Jar Institute in New York where he attended in August 2016.
Jacob is an Equity Membership Candidate, appearing in professional productions of "Jesus Christ Superstar", "West Side Story", and more.
