BIO

Hello my name is Jacob James and I am a professional actor. I am a 2020 graduate from CSUSM and recieved a BA in Visual and Performing Arts with an Emphasis is Theatre. I am a very creative soul and have loved telling stories since I was a young a child and I thrive off of the energies given in performing live. I have acted in many projects and in 2022 started a podcast with my best friend all about theatre, "Harping on the Past: A Theatre Kid Podcast." I am an actor first but I'm also a storyteller and I love directing projects as well and hope to become more practiced and accomplished in that field as my career progresses. I am proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as a proud mixed race individual, capable of playing all types of roles. I was also more recently diagnosed was anxiety and OCD and have been navigating how to embrace this side of me and not feel ashamed of it. I think mental health needs to be a bigger priority in many people's people lives so we may achieve our greatest. I constantly strive to join projects that led a voice to those who may not have one and tell the stories that need to be told so that people who have felt like I have, unseen, unheard, and invalid, know that they are not and we can remember that we can rewrite history and our own realities.
