'Bohemian Baroque' is Adelaide Baroque's Second Orchestral Concert For 2021

The concert features soloist Robert Macfarlane – tenor. Dr Jan Stockigt, acknowledged as the world's pre-eminent Zelenka scholar, and author of Jan Dismas Zelenka: A Bohemian Musician at the Court of Dresden, has curated the program and will give a preconcert talk at 6.30pm.

Sundance Institute spotlights work at the dynamic crossroads of film, art and technology with the New Frontier selections for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, announced today. This curated collection of cutting-edge independent and experimental media works are by creators who are pushing artistic innovation across new mediums that include VR, AR, mixed reality (MR) and AI. Programmers assembled a global slate of work from a mix of invitations and submissions to an open call for VR work earlier this year.

New York: As part of Urban Stages' mission to use theater as a means for conversation and education, Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director of Urban Stages is proud to announce a special talkback series for their current production, Communion by OBIE, GLADD and Governor General's award-winning playwright Daniel MacIvor. This series will include discussions with psychiatrists, therapists and grief counselors to address the issues featured in Communion. Talkback are included with the price of a ticket to see Communion, they are $40 and may be purchased via OvationTix at www.urbanstages.org or by phone at 1.866.811.4111. The show will run at Urban Stages (259 W 30 Street) through October 30th.

Horse Trade Theater Group (Heidi Grumelot, Artistic Director, Erez Ziv, Executive Director) and Less Than Rent Theatre will present the World Premiere of WORDS, RAZORS, AND THE WOUNDED HEART by James Presson. The production will be directed by Jake Ahlquist (Fringe Excellence Award Winner '10) and star Sean Patrick Monahan (Charles Busch's Time Square Angel) and Emma March Barash (Stop the Virgins at St. Anne's Warehouse). The show will also feature Dean Acree (New York Dream at The Pearl), Cory Asinofsky (Puppet Hamlet), Amanda Brooklyn (HBO's Girls), Ben Diserens (the upcoming Wolf of Wall Street), Patrick Dooley, Jenna Grossano, Jackie Hansen, Jacob Presson, Tom Sanchez (Independents), and RJ Vaillancourt (Healthy Start by Gilad Cohen).
